Why don't you bill through insurance for couples sessions?

There are many reasons for this. Some of them include the fact that most insurances don't actually cover couples therapy (even if they tell you they do). And even if they actually do, insurance requires a specific way of doing couples therapy, which does not include best practices for couples. We've found that our way of doing therapy yields better results than the restrictive way insurance mandates it to be done.
