Why don't you bill insurance for couples counseling?

Most insurance plans don't actually cover couples counseling, even when they say they do. When they do, insurance requires one partner to be diagnosed with a "billable" diagnosis that permanently goes on their medical record, and treatment must then focus on that diagnosis rather than the relationship. We've found our way of doing therapy yields better results than the restrictive way insurance mandates it be done.

Can I still get reimbursed?

Possibly. We can provide a Super Bill on request, which you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends entirely on your plan.
